Holly Walker, APRN, BC-PNP

Hello families! I am from Russell Springs, KY and moved to Louisville in 1999 after graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University. I started my nursing career as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kosair Children’s Hospital. I expanded my NICU experience after two years and became a Neonatal RN Specialist at the University of Louisville Neonatal Follow-Up Program over the following 9 years, where we specialized in the growth and development of premature and high risk infants. During that time, I was accepted into the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program at Northern Kentucky University where I obtained my Masters of Science in Nursing in 2008. I then joined Dr. Thomas Moriarty and his Pediatric Neurosurgery team as one of their first mid-level providers. In 2010 I transitioned to Jefferson County Public Schools as a Health Services Nurse Practitioner providing medical services to children ages 3 to 21 and in 28 schools including elementary, middle, and high schools.

I live with my husband, Matt, and our wonderful children Molly Kate and Hayden as well as our dog Marley. We love sports, vacationing, and spending time on Lake Cumberland back home with family and friends. I am excited to join Kaplan Barron Pediatrics (2024) and look forward to providing pediatric primary care to children of all ages!
