Meet Our Team

Jeanna Phillips APRN-CNP

I am a Louisville native, born and raised, with a lifelong passion for learning and the opportunities education provides. I began my academic journey at the University of Louisville, where I earned my degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine in 2001, followed by a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology in 2003. During that time, I taught physical education, coached sports, and later managed a Physical Medicine Department—an experience that inspired me to become a Nurse Practitioner.

I earned my Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University in 2005. Following graduation, I moved to Chicago, where I expanded my pediatric experience and welcomed my two children, Addison and Jack. After eight years, my family and I returned home to Louisville to be closer to family.

Since returning, I have worked in a variety of pediatric settings, including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Emergency Department. In 2017, I completed my Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree from Vanderbilt University. I have since practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

In 2024, I joined Kaplan Barron Pediatrics, where I continue to pursue my passion for caring for children and supporting their families.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to music, and traveling.
